Security & control
Control technician access.
An RMM has powerful access to customer machines. Evaluate the controls around that access as closely as the features themselves.
Authenticator-app MFA.
Technicians enroll a third-party authenticator app. Sign-in requires a time-based code from that app. Each account receives twelve recovery codes, each usable once instead of an authenticator code.
Recorded actions identify the technician who ran them. Recovery codes and administrator credentials should be stored according to your own access and recovery procedures.
Customer access and operator roles.
Company-scoped access and operator roles help separate customer work. Approval controls apply to sensitive actions. Validate your intended technician permissions and customer boundaries during setup.
Review actions and their results.
Controller-issued jobs use signed requests and results. The agent records execution intent, and interrupted or uncertain work retains evidence for review. Remote desktop sessions use an attended consent flow.
Returned results and activity records help a technician establish what ran and what still needs checking. A completed request and a verified outcome are treated as different pieces of evidence.
Package verification and encrypted backups.
Agent update packages use signed release information and integrity verification. Software deployment workflows pin and review supported packages. Chocolatey workflows include controlled acquisition and internal package handling.
Windows image archives use AES-256-GCM encrypted storage. Recovery preparation includes integrity checks and destination identity confirmation. Successful boot and application tests remain part of proving a useful restore.
Bring your security requirements.
Ask us to walk through account enrollment, customer scoping, approval rules, action records, package handling and recovery evidence. Identify the hosting arrangement, access model, data locations and retention requirements that apply to your environment before an evaluation.
This page describes implemented controls. Discuss your compliance requirements, support expectations and service levels during evaluation, and request the evidence your organization needs.
Report a security concern.
Email president@milkrmm.com with a brief description, affected component and a safe way to contact you. Share reproduction details without customer credentials, access tokens or private endpoint data. We can arrange an appropriate channel for sensitive evidence.
